Curriculum
     Complete SW curriculum schedule.

SWCG (Scripters World Critiquing Groups)
Everything you ever wanted to know about SWCG.

Personal Help Tools (PHT)
"Personal Help Tools" are resources to assist students, replacing the old SW mentor program.

Message Boards (Forums)
There will be many Forums, most of which will be the password protected SWCG groups forums.   The "SW General Discussion" forum is for questions or personal and general discussion of screenwriting related topics.   Some forums require a password.

Guest Book
This is just for those who visit or wish to make comments about SW.   It does not replace the formal registration that was required in the past.   There is a special forum on our Message Boards area for voluntary enrollment.

Research Resources
A comprehensive page of research resources.

WGAw "Schedule of Minimums" \$$$
There is an advantage to selling to a WGA signatory company.

SW's Script Project Protection System
SPPS is free to SW members.   It's a system to protect (relatively) the ownership of your ongoing screenwriting project.

Glossary (click)
The Film/Video/Screenwriting Glossary is on this great site: THIRD MILLENNIUM entertainment

ScriptREADER check-off text sheet
We have created a text file (above) with the entire ScriptREADER script analysis questionaire (80 q's) for your convenience.  If you go to the website they make you do a long dance before you get to see the free product and then don't provide a simple means of capturing it for the free use, which is why SW did the work for you.

SW BookList & BookFinder
Here you will find two things: the best way to look for new or used books on the web and a list of screenwriting related books.

TreePad
A great freeware program for the outlining process of your pre-script storyline. Some screenwriting programs have built in programs like this for the same purpose (Ex. Hollywood Screenplay software, \$55 to $189). It has drag & drop. It's weakness is that you have to 'export' the file into another word processor for printing. Hopefully they are fixing the problem. Also, the 'auto-hint' feature has a bug. The 'hints' don't disappear like they are suppose to. Just go to the 'Options' area and turn this feature off if it bothers you.

Screenplay Outliner
This shareware program (\$49 after 30 days) is specifically designed to create outlines for screenplays (and other mediums).  It works on Win95.  Features: Fully develop and orchestrate characters, organize and develop story ideas and structures, supports the Three-Act paradigm, print detailed reports, export feature, built in glossary and more.  We're not suggesting you buy it (that's up to you) but we are suggesting you at least use it to get a feel for what outlining a script is all about. Outlining seems to be a weak area among beginning screenwrights.

Random Name Generator
This shareware program (\$12.99) is made by the same screenwriter/programmer that makes Screenplay Outliner (above).

ScriptMaker - (PC)
Created by Ian Pegler for Windows 95.  This FREEWARE program is not a macro, it is a free standing screenwriting program.  They also provide freeware tools:  outlining, index-cards and a storyboard (graphics) feature.  It is not user friendly.  Let us know what you think.

Updates To SW
Daily updates and notices will be posted on this page.   Please, check this area on a regular basis.

Screenwriting Contests

      Nichol Fellowships In Screenwriting

Currently "MovieBytes - Screenwriting Contests & Markets Online" is one of the best website that I have found concerning this subject.  It is advisable to start learning about the different screenwriting contests that are available, since they are numerous, for future reference.   Another is the Contest & Fellowship page on the Screenwriting FAQ on HollywoodNet
