This page contains information concerning SW "Mentors"; those that will assist (help) other members.Scripters World is a non-profit enterprise, members receive no compensation for any participation in the program. So, if Graduates stay around to help other students, or Staff and Mentors assist students it is all on a voluntary basis.
Experienced screenwriters who would like to assist other fledgling screenwriters are welcomed to join SW to function as a mentor, but we no longer give the title to anyone. SW has completely changed it's program. The Curriculum no longer incorporates a one-on-one, mentor/student, learning situation. So, if you want to mentor (help, assist) those new to screenwriting, or still learning, you simply start a new group in SWCG.
SWCG (Scripters World Critiquing Groups) provides the traditional form of scriptwrights critiquing each others scripts but it also can provide a one-on-one working environment. It allows you to determine who many you want to help at the same time. When you post, announcing that you wish to start a group, you also say how many you want in the group and that your group will assist those writing a screenplay from scratch or whatever requirements you desire. See the SWCG page for details.
SW no longer has any criteria for mentors. Those joining your group will decide those issues.
That is the extent of SW's mentoring program. It's completely voluntary and very flexible.
