- Screenplay Template Maker
Jeff Milholer explains exactly how to create your own screenplay style template on your word processor by using margin settings and macros.
- (UNIX) Shaw (screenwriting hacks for Applix Words)
uses ELF macros and a template to facilitate screenplay formatting in this Unix-based package.
- Hollywood Screenplay - (PC)
A self-contained screenwriting program (built-in word processor). Looks like it's loaded with options. Shareware (10 uses in 15 days), different options, $55.00 to $189. We mention this program because it's the lowest price that we've found to date.
- Screenplay Outliner
This shareware program ($49 after 30 days) is specifically designed to create outlines for screenplays (and other mediums). It works on Win95. Features: Fully develop and orchestrate characters, organize and develop story ideas and structures, supports the Three-Act paradigm, print detailed reports, export feature, built in glossary and more. We're not suggesting you buy it (that's up to you) but we are suggesting you at least use it to get a feel for what outlining a script is all about. Outlining seems to be a weak area among beginning screenwrights.
- Sophocles Screenwriting Software - (Win95)
This is a unique and better priced software than most, $120. Except for a print marking "Trial Version" and no exporting before registering, it downloads as a full working version with no time limit on use.
- Screenplay Software - C. Deemers Webpage
A very comprehensive collection.
- Screenstyle has most of the retail screenwriting and story software that is available.
